About Me

I am half Japanese and English/Irish live in SW London and am the lead singer in my band, "iMMa" - check out www.myspace.com/immarock. WE ROCK...YOU GOTTA CHECK US OUT _ LIVE!! I was in the band The Finger for 2 years, writing with Jonas Jalhay (guitarist), Nordine Brahmi (bass) and Yiannis Sachinis (drums). The Finger wasn't right so Jonas and I started our new band iMMa (meaning Now in Japanese and ever in German,,,and a shit load of other things in various languages aparently!!). We try to be all about the Now and we try, although admittedly don't always live in the 'now' (being human an' all!!). I have some how started playing guitar and immediately joined the legendary Itchy Tits as their guitarist!!! Been gigging all summer festivals and all!! Talk about being thrown in at the deep end!! I also sing in Function band, 29 Fingers-the best party band ever!!! I have two sisters who I love dearly Miki and Hanako. We are all very different, Miki has graduated from Cambridge Uni in Englisg Un, Hanako is still at school- she will be a tremendous actress or artist or singer or violinist (multi-talented) one day!! My Papa,Colin is retired (lucky git!!) and Mama is a freelance journalist for Japanese magazines and is currently trying ti get her first book published. I am happily loved-up with boyf, Mark who is a drummer-we try to write music together- that's when we're not scoffing our faces on curries and watching mad japanese films!! I also do some vocal coaching for the ptc theatre company and a rock school in Belgium...so if you are interested in a lesson - get in touch. I specialise in performance and vocal technique. a

My Interests

My Interests are...hmm.... Music of any genre (although I put my hands up to being a rock chick!!), Fashion, Comedy,Films, Dance, Snow boarding, horse riding. Oh yeah shot put, the javelin...he he!!.....only yankin ya chain me laddies!!!!

I'd like to meet:

I would love to meet like-minded creative people, who are up for the quirky side of life. People who are not afraid of feeling and being themselves. Boring as it may seem sometimes! Just nice people...no bull..... width="425" height="335" ..

My Grandad (gigi), Soroku Yamagata, known to us fondly as Soko!!! What a hero he was R.I.P. He was a Doctor, he was in the II world war as a Doctor and he dedicated his life to A.I.D.S. He was the director general of the A.I.D.S. Foundation of Japan, always raise funds for A.I.D.S. research. He was such a humble and modest man, he always saw the best in people and he was always there for a giggle and support. A real positive person.
