About Me

Time. Kill it when you have an exit strategy.
Studied art and some biology, goals: Library Science, photorealistic art skill,to transcend the mundane through visual expression. Graduated as an Art major specializing in Art Education. I do paintings, drawings, anatomical illustrations. Now in training for comics and fantasy painting. As a personal hobby, I pursuing a more profound understanding of science.
Hobbies for now and the near future: drawing, sleeping, reading, hanging out at lollicup, vistiting art museum, part time fag-hag =P (AKA dancing and partying with my gay friends!!!) I would be writting a book if I actually want to say everything about myself. SO, briefly,I'm an artist by nature, a masochist by habit, rude by accident, and I'm lonely by choice (for a while at least). My name, Nhon= Human, humanity, to be of mankind. I dont know what my grandparents meant by giving me this name...but I always feel like an imploding radioactive substance. AAAAA!! what intriqued me: an italian poem I found in the anime Ergo Proxy "caro mi e.. il sonno, e piu.. l'esser di sasso Amentre che il danno, e la vergogna dura;non veder, non sentir, m'e gran ventura;pero.. non mi destar: deh, parla basso" by Michelangelo Buonarotti-

OCTOBER 15th, 2007. BLOG. GOT QUESTIONS?

Translated as...Welcome is sleep, more welcome the sleep of stone. Whilst crime and shame continue in the land; My happy fortune, not to see or hear; Waken me not - in mercy, whisper low.

PAINTINGS!!!

Here, my latest commissioned painting of Jesus. In Progress work still (Oct. 28th, 2007)
What keeps me alive: painting. This is my version of Mary from my favorite sculpture, Michelangelo's Pieta..
Below: La Pieta's Mary. A study
To be continue...

My Interests

Art and my art:Italian Renaissance, Greco-Roman, Anatomical Illustration.

poetry,anthropology,philosophy, library science,libraries: reading & researching, psychology,neuroscience,linguistics,

Greek Mythology,Architecture,Landscape Architecture, Zen Budhhism, human sexuality, the concept of death, the concept of love, the karma sutra, jokes (which ever), japanese animation, swords, firearms, CHINESE CHESS, toy rabbit:miffy, people who would like to share wisdom

My art, may sometime appear to be perversed, neurotic, paradoxical...but the subject matter fascinates me at the same time.

(above: works in progress) I like to transcend, to remind humanity of how god like we are and I also want to deconstruct what had been transcended. That is we are of flesh and blood...that we are not immortals.

I'm a realist that dreams...hehe. You can see how confused I can get. I cherish the reliabilty of realistic art skill. When the camera malfunctions, I can always capture an image just as or almost as precise. Just takes time and patience...

My obsession in anatomical drawing actually started at the time I started to take science classes for the pre-pharmacy program. It's a spectacular influence on my art, I believe. Nevertheless, it made me feel like a complete ignorant...reminding me of how little I know.

Portraits to me are fascinating, especially ones that are painted or drawn. When I work on a portrait, it's not just getting down shapes and values. It's also getting to know or already knew intimately the topography of a particular human's face. The more I know of a person, the more lifely his or her portrait will be.

Art is at the evolutionary line where practically anything can be art. Do you disagree? I've learned Photoshop, taken 2 photography classes, and try to be technologically literate for the present art world. But, this is my default; the renaissance-esque and greco-roman styles, my favorite tools-the pencil, pen, and paint brush.

I'd like to meet:

Friends: old ones, new ones, ones who take a shine to my my point of views. And, especially ones who would be so kind to the share the proof of any real number X divided by zero equals to undefined or infinity.
