About Me

Band Bio

Formed in early 2002, guitarist Mark Fisher and original bassist Dale Masters set out to create a different type of metal with a blues-rock, boogie based groove, furthermore injecting elements of country and bluegrass into a heavy D-tuned slide guitar assault. Using pounding drums, bass, and sampled intros, and then topping it off with high energy vocals in the styles of Ian Astbury, Danzig, and early David Lee Roth, the results has become a Southern monster!

Opening for such national acts as Stephen Pearcy and sharing shows with guitar gods George Lynch & Yngwie Malmsteen, their live shows have made a huge impact on the Atlanta music scene.

Christopher Lee's vocals and powerful stage performance has gained more steam & attitude with every show, while Mark Fisher's slamming guitar & slide work creates the foundation for Tim Collins' bone-rattlin' bass and Shane Boyd's massive drum groove.

New fans and opportunities emerge from every performance. Involving the crowd is key to a good show. With that said, these boys have never had a bad one!

Armed with their self-produced full length debut CD titled Barnyard Mechanics, the new Southern Nation has arrived.
