Leadership boils down to three things: Smurferation, smurferation and smurf!

About Me

I'm a simple girl who likes the simple things in life: long romantic walks through a dewy rainforest, where you climb a heritage-listed tree with your sister Fanny and your visiting cousin Dick and discover that the top of the tree leads to 'The Land of Take What You Want' and you spend the rest of the afternoon searching for first edition Roald Dahl books, bobby pins that can't be lost and endless tins of Berocca; long romantic walks along the beach where you step on a jellyfish and scream, but then realise that it's a MAGICAL worm from the planet Wormulon who grants you one wish so you wish for a packet of Mint Slice Bites that never runs out, but the magical worm gives you Mint Slice BALLS instead, which are SO not the same thing, so you take out your inflatable beach machete and hack into the worm, but it separates into tinier and tinier worms without ever dying and you don't know what to do so you quickly stuff them into a chilli flakes jar and hide them in your boyfriend's pantry with his cupcakes; long romantic picnics under the stars, where you search in your picnic basket for the turkish delight from IGA that you packed for your loved one, but it's not there, so you reach further and further into the basket until you topple into it and find yourself in the land of Narnia where the Snow Queen offers you turkish delight and stuff happens. Simple things like that.

My Interests

Getting paid to make jigsaw puzzles.

I'd like to meet:

Ryan from The Cat Empire in Melbourne. He's sexy and funny and cooks sick roast PO-TAY-TOES and sends me emails in pirate language and scares young children 'cos he looks like a lion and indulges me when I want to travel to 'Bagdad' in Tasmania for the photo opportunity. Though if I met him I'd probably say something stupid like "Please loan me some money -- I've decided to start my own bottled apple juice business in Harcourt called 'Cloud City Apple Juice'." No, uh, really, it's worth thinking about this!

Music:

"American Doll Posse", track one through to 14735.

Movies:

The best trilogies of all time (i.e. The Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Star Wars, The Karate Kid, Back to the Future and Aladdin), anything written by Charlie or Donald Kauffman.

Television:

That Nandos patch commercial.

Books:

Spendign the rest of the year digesting 'Sharlimar the Clown'. Loved it.

Heroes:

Emma and Tom (and the inventor of elderflower).
