About Me

Bitter since 1973, Angry Stutterer's oral communication is hindered by repetitions, prolongations, and laryngeal blocks. Relief was unsuccessfully sought from the pseudoscience of speech pathology. Therapy was eventually terminated as no speech-language pathologist could tolerate his pungent flatulence. The development of an avoidant personality was troublesome, but no surprising. Introversion led to his appreciation for the printed word, though he confesses that purchasing books is more satisfying than actually reading them. He can frequently be found with a vacant expression on his face in the philosophy or mythology section of the local Barnes & Noble. By day, he is a laboratory wage slave regretting his decision to study geology. In the evening, he is either dissociating from reality with his Xbox 360, or punishing himself at the gym. He attempts to assuage his misery with classical music and has an affinity for Bach's cello suites and the symphonies of Mahler. Although he favors music of the romantic era, he appreciates such modern atonal composers as Lemmy Kilmister and Tom Araya. He also finds solace with a golden retriever, black coffee, gray skies, and redheads. Sometimes categorized as a miserable prick, Angry Stutterer is better understood as a benevolent misanthrope with a sardonic sense of humor.

Heroes:

"But what do I get from existence? If it is full I have only distress, if empty only boredom. How can you offer me so poor a reward for so much labor and so much suffering?" --Arthur Schopenhauer "Instead of slashing my wrists, I just write a bunch of really crummy songs." --Peter Steele "The point is not to take the world's opinion as a guiding star, but to steadfastly go one's way in life, neither depressed by failure nor seduced by applause." --Gustav Mahler "He who despairs of the human condition is a coward, but he who has hope for it is a fool." --Albert Camus "Verily, a polluted stream is man. One must be a sea to be able to receive a polluted stream without becoming unclean.""I tell you: one must have chaos within oneself to give birth to a dancing star." --Friedrich Nietzsche "don't worry, nobody has the beautiful lady, not really, and nobody has the strange and hidden power, nobody is exceptional or wonderful or magic, they only seem to be. it's all a trick, an in, a con, don't buy it, don't believe it. the world is packed with billions of people whose lives and deaths are useless and when one of these jumps up and the light of history shines upon them, forget it, it's not what it seems, it's just another act to fool the fools again.there are no strong men, there are no beautiful women, at least, you can die knowing this and you will have the only possible victory." --Charles Bukowski "Applaud, my friends, the comedy is over." --Ludwig "I consider the positions of kings and rulers as that of dust motes. I observe treasures of gold and gems as bricks and pebbles, and the finest silken robes as tattered rags. I see the myriad worlds of the universe as small seeds of fruit, and the greatest lake in India as a drop of oil at my foot. I perceive the teachings of the world to be the illusion of magicians. I discern the highest conception of emancipation as a golden brocade in a dream, and view the path of the holy as flowers appearing in one's eyes. I see meditation as a pillar of a mountain, and nirvana as a nightmare of daytime. I look upon the judgment of right and wrong as the serpentine dance of a dragon, and the rise and fall of beliefs as but traces left by the four seasons." --Siddartha Gautama
