About Me

********************
I believe in living TODAY; tomorrow is still just an idea.
*********************
Scorpio October 23 - November 21
Scorpio is the eighth Sign of the Zodiac, and you shouldn't take that lightly. You shouldn't take Scorpios lightly, either. Those born under this Sign are dead serious in their mission to learn about others. There's no fluff or chatter for Scorpios, either: these folks will zero in on the essential questions, gleaning the secrets that lie within. Scorpios concern themselves with beginnings and endings, and are unafraid of either; they also travel in a world which is black and white and has little use for gray. The curiosity of Scorpios is immeasurable, which may be why they are such adept investigators. These folks love to probe and know how to get to the bottom of things. The fact that they have a keen sense of intuition certainly helps.

My Interests

Read my VisualDNA ™ Get your own VisualDNA™

driving through the desert at night with the full moon for company; Spain; spaghetti carbonara in Rome or off the turnpike in Jersey; sunlight on my skin, tank tops and flip flops; sequins, soccer; Hawaii; warm humid air so thick you drink it; the golden path on the ocean when the sun is sinking; fireworks; Kevin playing the guitar for me, Brazilians who look into my eyes like they're touching my soul

I live to travel and eat and read and make art. I'm subhuman before coffee in the morning. I can't sing, I've got rhythm but no moves. I'm straightforward to the point of brutal but either you love me for it or you don't. I'm worth it if you do.

My favorite time of day is lunch.

One of my favorite sites for inspiration is art-e-zine: http://www.art-e-zine.co.uk

I'd like to meet:

No one, really. It's hard enough to keep up with the people I already know and like.

Movies:

Empire Records, A Knight's Tale, Sueno, Motorcycle Diaries, City of God, Lion King, anything with Johnny Depp, except for that one in Los Vegas where he was bald, that one stressed me out too much.

Hated: Chicago, Napoleon Dynamite, Good Night and Good Luck

Television:

General Hospital, of course, always and forever.

Books:

Prodigal Summer, Like Water for Chocolate, Secret Life of Bees, In the Time of the Butterflies, The House of the Spirits, Frida Kahlo's diary, The Outsiders (the first book I ever really fell in love with) Iberia by James Michner and I want to go to all of the places that he wrote about, anything by Pat Conroy. Harry Potter.

I go to bookclub for the food and the fun, not really for the books.

Heroes:

Frida Kahlo for her courage to keep loving that idiot Diego.
"The point is to create. The point is to express yourself, even if it's only to yourself, and learn from it and explore those inner places and parts that are uncharted emotional territories... To have the courage to look inward and see what's below the surface, to the heart of who we really are...Creativity can help us make peace with ourselves as well as fuel our demons, which I suppose is one of the many things that makes the process so exciting and important."--Dave Navarro

"Intellectual freedom depends on material things. Poetry depends upon intellectual freedom, and women have always been poor, not for two hundred years, but from the beginning of time ... That is why I have laid so much stress on money and a room of one’s own." -Virginia Woolf, A Room of One’s Own, 1929
