FÖRMÖGENHET Är Det Någon Som Är Snål Så Är Det Du! 7"
"Punk should be about having fun, having something to say, taking unexpected turns, being energetic, not caring too much about if it's played absolutely correct or not… and Förmögenhet has a little bit of everything. I'm not going to try and fool you that I absolutely need innovation in my punk to be able to enjoy it, but without it we wouldn't have moved forward one bit.
Förmögenhet won't move any mountains, but they sure brightened up my day and their catchy and speedy hardcore punk rock, with some influences from the early 80's US bands combined with a Swedish sound, made me realize more than ever that we need more bands like this. Bands who dare to not care and whose main goal is to play, not necessarily play extremely good.
Still, I don't want to make it sound like I think this lot can't handle their instruments, because they can, I'm just saying that they would make a racket even if they didn't know how to take a single chord.
This band wants to stir things up a bit and their mixed influences results in something that sounds both fresh and over twenty years old - a cool 7" indeed."

"I was really not into this. Throwaway joke hardcore with horrible pantomime Jello vocals. Maybe you would like it? I don't know though. There is a Rikk Agnew reference and a "My War" one, and since I can't speak Swedish I am not sure what the intention is-- perhaps it's meant to be a hip hop styled sample thing? Or are they covers? Whatever; this record sucks. Sorry dudes. I can't even think of anything witty with which to diss this. It is just boring."

Hardcorepunk med humor brukar vara bra hardcorepunk, och stockholmsbaserade FÖRMÖGENHET är inget undantag. Särskilt bra blir det i inledande yrvädret "Tummen upp". Och säskilt roligt i titelspåret där sångaren och fanzinegurun Fredrik K hyllar prylsamlande med orden: "Visst man kan samla på erfarenheter, minnen och upplevelser/Men är inte det lite väl New Age?".

FÖRMÖGENHET Är Det Någon Som Är Snål Så Är Det Du! 7"
This is wild and fun punk/hardcore from Sweden. I am not going to pretend to understand it, but I like that about it. It has a lot of garage punk attitude and it sounds like they are having a great time through all eleven songs.
The first song "Tummen Upp" apparently means "Thumbs Up" and is all about their positive mental attitude. On the second side there are appropriations of Black Flag´s "My War" and The Adolescents "Amoeba". They are in swedish, so I don´t know if they are covers or if they put different words to the music or what, but they sound great. This is a good time.
