Danish-Italian Christina Saffiotti Hansen spent her adolescence listening to Brian Eno, XTC, The Pixies, That Petrol Emotion, and surprised herself by starting her musical activity as singer and song-writer in the Italian soul-rock band Libagions (produced by Pino Daniele and Jeremy Meek). She also sang in the choir Luzzasco Luzzaschi, which, while initially concentrating on a 20th century classical repertoire, went to form the basis for the Coro Ferrara Musica called for by Claudio Abbado for some of his Mozart productions with the European Chamber Orchestra. After the completion of a never published cd with the drum'n'bass project Assistant (with Nicola Panzanini and Mario Barrai) Christina finished her Ph.D. in English Studies and decided to focus on working as tutor at the University of Bologna. But meanwhile she is working on a series of songs that she has recently started to record demo versions of, in collaboration with drummer and composer Stefano Peretto, active with Taglia 42, Pia and a number of jazz musicians (Jerry Bergonzi, Steve Gut, among others) and Italian songwriters.Favourite nose designer: Orson Welles.
