Born into a musical family in the late 70's it was only natural for young Fareed to pick up instruments and express himself through written composition. At a time when everyone was completely blown away by Michael Jackson and Prince, Fareed, found himself experimenting with with the new sound known as hip-hop."By the time everyone had started to just get familiar with it I was rooted in the music", he blames it on the drums, the same Instrument his father plays. This is all represented in his music today.In the late 90's part of a group that later focused on commercial material. This was not a focus that Gramz was comfortable with. Shortly after a video shoot, the deal went sour after a record label and management fallout. Always the leader and trendsetter, 7 Cees was formed in the vain of not going with the current trends.Rhyming since the age of 8 and producing since the age of 16 the love of this music has been the driving force. After sour deals and studio owned reels the love is whatkeeps him going. With his mind set on making Ceven Cees a dynasty and a voice of the people. It has always been about respect not platinum success or ghetto gold, but mostly the love. ...........
