Music Video - Locobazooka 2005 - Fitzburg Airport
Years before the formation of Short Fuse, several friends from the San Francisco Area began a musical journey not knowing where it would take them. Through their persistence, drive, and connection to the fans both on and off stage, the band reached many of the goals that all musicians work for. In their career, they have played with platinum-selling artists, performed for audiences of over 15,000, recorded with well-known producers, and toured nationally.
However, in the midst of such great success, some members desired to forge a new path.
So strong was this vision that it was enough for guitarist-turn-vocalist Myke DiBattista, bassist Tony Eakes and keyboardist Martin Boynton to branch out on their own, leaving the band that they helped build and filling the void of personal artistic expression. Recruiting long-time friends, guitarists Anthony Flick and Scott Chavez, a writing process began in early 2005 that would soon take on a life of its own.
Since the formation of Short Fuse, the band has been dedicated and remained focused on their work. Within six months they released their first full-length album, Hate Brought to this Place Called Home. Packed with all original material, it was recorded with Professional Murder Music vocalist, Roman Marisak producing in his Los Angeles, CA studio and at Trident Studios in Pacheco, CA with Vile front man Juan Urteaga (Skinlab, 36 Crazyfists) producing. The album was skillfully mastered by Tom Baker at Precision Mastering (Marilyn Mason, Rob Zombie, Nine Inch Nails) in Hollywood. What resulted was an album and a half worth of material full of raw emotion and angst.
Wherever they perform, Short Fuse infects the audience with their driving music and energy packed stage performance. Infectious and unforgettable, Short Fuse delivers on every level. Performances during the band's career have included the renowned Locobazooka festival in Boston, MA for two consecutive years in front of 10,000 fans featuring such national artists as Alice in Chains, Buckcherry, Disturbed, God Forbid, Drop Kick Murphys, Dope, and ill Nino.
Preparing darker, heavier songs for their sophomore album, Short Fuse has recruited drummer Joe Zapantis whose drumming style fits the faster driven style. Now, more than ever Short Fuse is ready to take on the musical scene without taking a second to look back.
