My big little brother is coming to visit at the end of the month. It will be our first real meeting, and I am both very excited and maybe even a teeny bit nervous : ) I just hope that we get to know each other, and establish a closeness that we didn't get to experience growing up. My favorite moves are any that I can stay awake the whole way through! I love anything that has Angelina in it, and Mr. and Mrs. Smith was badass! The flicks I watch over and over include Pulp Fiction, 8 Mile, Meet the Parents, and the Lethal Weapon set. And its sad, but true, but I can recite each and every line from Big Trouble in Little China---which I blame largley on my mother's poor choices in movies. She exposed me at an impressonable age, far too many times! My most recent favorite was Lucky Number Slevin--another Tarantino flick . The guys a genius, what can I say?
Television:
I LOVE TEEVO! I'm all about the rewind and also taping shit for later---especially on the HISTORY, MILITARY, DISCOVERY, ANIMAL CHANNELs. I love the programs "How its Made", "Megastructures", "Fight Science" , "Engineering an Empire". I'm a huge fan of SHOTIME ORIGINAL SERIES: WEEDS and DEXTER, and now I've been catching up on all three seasons of 6 Feet Under. I have a few seasons of Nip Tuck on DVD that I watch and rewatch, as well as the old school Chapelle shows (before he found God. Or went to Africa. Whatever it was it was definately a comedy killer cause he came back not so funny anymore!) I used to have a crush on all the broads in Charmed, now I just dream about Alyssa Milano. Oh yeah, and HBO Real sex and G-String Divas. And of course the home improvement and home decorating channels--that shit is awesome!.Lately I've been hooked on Dexter---a SHOTIME series about a forensic cop that also is a serial killer. It rocks!A proud member of the Dexter fan club! :)
Books:
I have a huge library, full of books mostly from various school classes and my thesis. I graduated in Communication and Gender Studies, with a concentration in sociology/anthropology...so you can imagine the crazy titles sitting around : Killer Women, a dictionary of female serial killers, The Body Project, Sex Work and Sex Workers, Tricks and Treats, The Story of Jane; The Underground Abortion Railroad, The Managed Heart, you get the idea. I wrote my thesis on the communication culture of a strip club, and the effects of erotic labor.My favorite authors are Jeannette Winterson and Bell Hooks, as well as my former professor Jean Ward.One might think its a bit contradictory, but as far as magazines go I'm a big fan of FHM, Maxim, Hustler, and of course, Playboy.

My mom, our troops, struggling musicians, people who stand up for or even risk their lives to save animals (like my best friend DRAGON!
