Eight Years and Counting...
Aborted Society began in the Winter of 1998 as a website. There wasn't a lot of punk content on the web, and we wanted to make something that was useful amidst the myriad of advertisements and bad writing the internet is so renowned for. In 1999, Rob and Jack began the Aborted Society Zine, a project that was supposed to come out 4 times a year, but ended up coming about about once every 7 months. We have since stopped doing the zine, but we have intentions of starting a new publication sometime in the future. Keep posted on that. At some point, we will archive all of the zines online for your perusal and general merriment.
Started putting out records and promoting shows in June of 2000. We specialize in crust, hardcore punk, and grindcore. We are always looking for new material to release, so get in touch if you're in a band that might fit on our label. We're looking for bands that don't generally fall under typical classifications, bands that have original artwork, ideas, and sounds.
Aborted Society Records is 100% anti-racist, anti-homophobic, and 200% anti-patriotic. Do not try to add us if you are a homophobic patriotic nazi.

ABSOC 012 - NUX VOMICA - A Civilized World LP/CD
From the remnants of Baltimore-based WAKE UP ON FIRE, comes the debut full-length release by NUX VOMICA entitled “A Civilized World.†Now residing in Portland, OR, Nux Vomica picks up where The Uninspired 7†EP (Firestarter/Torture Garden) left off with eight tracks of powerful and epic metallic crust punk. Acoustic and clean-channel breakdowns mingle with intense, devastating overtures on this LP/CD release. With poetically and politically angered vocals, this is a completely over-the-top hardcore punk record that defies easy classification. Recorded and mastered by Jay Matheson at the Jam Room in Colombia, SC. Front Cover artwork by Jason Angst and Poster artwork by Little Debee.

ABSOC 011 - BLACKOUT - s/t LP
From the storms of Minneapolis' sub-zero winters hails BLACKOUT with their debut LP release on Aborted Society. Drawing on equal parts hardcore, punk, blues, and metal, this is ten tracks of raw, unabided Midwest madness. Recorded by Jon Greenslit at the House of Misery Studios in 2006, this is the alcoholic soundtrack for the apocalypse - a heavy influential doseage of Motorhead and Poison Idea while retaining a strong DIY punk sensibility. Impeccably catchy riffs and bluesy guitar solos wind their way through songs of drinking and rogue debauchery. Includes current and ex-members of Provoked, Scorned, Stillborn, Assrash, and Phalanx, among others. Release includes color printed inner sleeve with lyrics, first pressing of 500 on black vinyl.

MEISCE – "Bored of the Dance" EP
Aborted Society and Fistolo Records are proud to present the debut EP from Seattle's folk punk ensemble, Meisce (pronounced Mesh-Kyuh). Elements of Irish folk, gypsy, and eastern European klezmer come together underneath a very strong punk rock influence. Two tracks featuring mandolin, accordion, fiddle, guitars, bass, drums, and vocals on this release. The perfect soundtrack for an evening of drunken debauchery! Aborted Society Records is very excited to introduce our ninth release, the self-titled LP by Portland, OR?s Order of the Vulture. The LP features seven tracks of haunting, ethereal, and devastating hardcore punk featuring current members of L'Acephale. Elements of metal and raging Scandinavian influenced hardcore combineunderneath a morbid aesthetic on this 3-piece's first full length release. Gatefold LP cover artwork by singer and guitar player JJ Shirey. Initial pressing of 1,000; the first 500 copies are on red and black splattered vinyl - SOLD OUT, 500 on black - STILL AVAILABLE.
