About Me

Many call me an old soul. I don't know if that means I know things beyond my years, or that I seem like the kind of fellow who falls asleep at 7pm in a chair reading a book next to a lamp while wearing an out-of-date sweater. Music has been part of me since I was very young. The first glimmers of my love for it may have been wrapped in the fascination of watching my dad play three chord masterpieces on an unplugged electric guitar he bought in the sixties. I wish I could hear those songs with the ears I have now. I'm sure it would still be inspiring. My mom is a human jukebox, singing not every song ever written, but most of the good ones while going about her everyday routine. I still learn some great music listening to her. Since the day my parents bought a record player and showed us their collection, the world has never been the same. The music here is written by me with help from fantastic musicians that I am blessed to call friends and family.

My car went in today.  I'm driving a red Kia Spectra.  Weird.  Definitely not my personality.  I'm looking forward to spending the next few days in the woods.  I need it. ...

the things people say

I played one of the stranger concerts of my life tonight.  The best words I could use to describe it--"It's like someone stuck my mylar balloon in the freezer."  It wasn't horrible, but it w...

Somewhere between dawn and twilight...

I realize that no matter what I do, there's no falling asleep before 2am.  I remember when I was a kid, bedtime was 9pm.  Anytime I ever tried to stay up past that, I could barely function.&...

After a While-Take 2

Sorry for the confusion.  I decided to repost "After a While".  The first version was just a bit ridiculous and left the words garbled.  The words are what I liked about it.  On an...
