My life as a drummer started when I was about two years old living in the US. My parents took me to a Dr. John show and after that I fell in love with Blues. I would get chop sticks and bang on pillows watching Mtv. Seeing me do this my mom and dad decided to buy me a little drum kit. But like every kid with his toys, after some time it was forgotten in the closet. When I was 9 years old I moved to Brazil. Here I fell in love with music again watching my uncle’s band play. After their rehearsals I would go to the drums and try to do the same beats the drummer did in the songs they played. But not being able to do them, again after a while I lost interest. Only when I was 15 when I bought my first kit did I truly start to learn how to play. My dad would play songs of bands like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Jimmy Hendrix and Black Sabbath on the guitar and would teach me how the rhythm and beats of the songs went. He taught me how to listen to music and how to make it. Now I play in five bands. Soulitary is the band I am in the most time. Five years. Right now We are working on the recordings of our first CD. I do not know when it will be done. But it is starting to sound really good. Tiger Cult is a band I have seen playing about 6 or 7 years before I entered the band. I became a fan and was really happy to join them when they invited me. The two Tiger Cult Songs that I put up were not recorded by me. But even so I put them here because they are my favorite Tiger cult songs I like to play. Thy Symphony is the kind of band that I thought I would never play in. Thank god I do not think this way now. It was a real challenge to learn and play the songs and it has improved my drumming more than I could have imagined. I have learned a lot about music with Marcelo and Rene. And it is with them that Soulitary is recording our first album. I am in an Iced Earth tribute band and I also have a Rock tribute band with my Dad. Recently I have started to give drum lessons.
