Roller Derby!!!, NASCAR (and my chances of ever driving a stock car), tubing, throwing parties that people still talk about years later, being a better mom, getting a Ph.D. in anything, Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo (Club East rules!), teaching myself to be a web developer, more women playing tackle football (like that hottie in the middle)
I'd like to meet:
Billy Idol
People that resemble my best friend
Music:
Anything you can sing along with...my karaoke faves are "I Want You to Want Me", "One Way or Another", and "The Night Chicago Died".
'80s hair bands always get me riled up, as well as those dirty Texas Music boys (Kevin Fowler, Cory Morrow, Pat Green).
Movies:
Favorite Movie of All Time: Somewhere in Time
Favorite Action: Days of Thunder (Race your ass!)
Favorite Comedy: Major League (Is that an athlete turned librarian???)
Others that I wouldn't want to live without: Rock Star (umm, Marky Mark!), Valley Girl (AWESOME soundtrack!), Arthur (I wanna be rich, drunk and funny!), Urban Cowboy (Lookin' good, Pasadena!), Sound of Music (my sister and I can recite the whole thing still).
Television:
Favorite Show of All Time: Quantum Leap
The one I had to have on DVD: Friends
Quit watching current TV unless I'm on it, except if by some kind of magic, I'm home when The Singing Bee or Don't Forget the Lyrics are on, and I can catch glimpses of them while doing housework.
Books:
I don't read much anymore except children's books, but I still have to read every trashy thing Anne Rivers Siddons writes.
I try to buy art books when I can, especially anything on Frida Kahlo. I just picked up the UT Press book on Julie Speed at TLA for less-than-half price. Spectacular!
I adore the series by Nick Bantock on the correspondence of Griffin & Sabine.
Most of the time I have to read books that support my interest in teaching myself to be a web developer.
Heroes:
Helen Keller, Amelia Earhart, Frida Kahlo, Dolly Parton
