About Me

MyGen Profile GeneratorThings are never certain, and people are always changing. The person you are today, is not the person you are tomorrow. Heck, the person I am when I begin writing this is not the person I will be when I am finished. The last couple of years have been a roller coaster full of love, loss, injury, self reflection, and through all of it personal growth. There are a few things about me that are constants, however: I love to laugh. I love to be with my friends. I love to be outdoors. I love getting lost in a good book. I still love singing in the car. I love the woman I have become. I wear my heart on my sleeve. I am a complete and utter smart-ass. I will never give up on love. :-)

I love quotes such as: "Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds." -Albert Einstein

"Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes." - Gandhi

My Interests

I love a good book, beautiful hike, and adventure overall. I am learning how to mountain bike, and plan on spending much of my summer in the great outdoors.

I'd like to meet:

People who are proud of who they are, what they have accomplished in their life, and looking forward to what is next. Jack Johnson for his lyrics. Elizabeth George for helping me escape from reality when I needed it. People who don't take themselves too seriously...

Music:

From Nine Inch Nails to Enya, and everything inbetween. I don't really like country or western. My iPod gets a workout, as I am pretty moody when it comes to tunes. I am a HUGE fan of live music. I'll go to a concert even though I have no idea what the band sounds like!

Movies:

Take me away from reality!! Make me Laugh!! Make me think!! Start a conversation!! I wnt to escape for a few hours.

Television:

You know, I have kind of stopped watching regular television. I became a netflix addict, and now watch any TV series I am interested in all at once on a rainy afternoon. I love Dirty Jobs and various other shows on the discovery channel. Weeds is a good one - I am waiting for season three to be done and out on DVD.

Books:

I like books that go into great elegant detail. PD James, Elizabeth George...I want to be able to play out the story in my imagination. Reading is one of my favorite things to do - Harlan Coben makes me laugh.

Heroes:

My Parents. Hands down. They are truely amazing people who never lost sight of who they are and what they wanted. I am so lucky to be in the place in life where my parents are also my friends.

My Last Day at 29
