There aren’t better words to describe Blue Flame Recordings producer, President and CEO, Marc “Novel†Bazemore, than those in the definition of his name itself.
Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, Novel began his journey into music working as a board engineer for Morgan State University’s 88.9 FM Strictly Hip Hop show. While engineering at Strictly Hip Hop, Novel was impacted by the various genres of hip-hop he was exposed to on the show. Immediately, he acquired a Korg Triton and within weeks began producing music of his own. Throughout the months, Novel meticulously worked on perfecting his skill and craft, while honing in on his own signature style and sound.
Although Novel’s eclectic sound scapes earn themselves high notoriety, it’s his enterprising and visual artistic abilities in addition that makes this versatile beat smith impressive. Along with being President and CEO of Blue Flame Recordings, in 2005 Novel created his production company “By_Myslf Productions†and his Graphic Design firm "Mixed Media, Inc."
Novel is currently overseeing and executive producing up and coming R&B sensation, Johnel. With Novel’s unique atmospheric style of production and Johnel’s melodic vocal aptitude, they intend to inject their listeners with an innovative sound experience unlike any other.
