Mixing a myriad number of influences, Zomo's musical cannot be easily compared to any current Top 40 band. Progressive, metal, hard rock? Zomo fuses all of these elements and throws operatic female vocals on top of it all to create a sound that is distinctly unique in a music scene that is full of wannabe bands and similar sounding music. Older songs such as "Awakening", "Surface", and "Slaughter" harken the influence of Tool, Sevendust, and Slipknot, while Zomo's latest batch of yet-unheard of songs leans more towards Killswitch Engage and the metalcore scene.
And Zomo's music is apparently just what beleaguered listeners are looking for, as Zomo has enjoyed a rapid rise to popularity in a relatively short amount of time, drawing enthusiastic crowds at some of the biggest venues in Ohio and the Midwest.
Zomo mixes soaring female vocals, aggressive musicality, and raw metal tone, with commanding live performances. Zomo will be release a sampler of some of their crowd favorites within the next few months with hopes for a brand new EP coming shortly thereafter.
Zomo is the progressive percussion of Bill Cashdollar, distinctive guitar styling of Alex Furst, metal tone of Derek Miller, and bass playing and powerful vocals of Maggie Larimore.
