About Me

Our (very short) History: It all started two years ago, thanks to a documentary made by the sheep brainwashing machine (AKA MTV) about the "history" of Punk, which motivated lead singer and co-founder of the band F. Nieto to dig deeper and find other "interesting" movements which derivated from Punk itself (early New Wave and the NY No Wave movement). He then became intrigued with the Post-punk revolution back in Britain in the late 70's and motivated him in June 2007 to form a band heavily influenced by old post-punk.After several months bass player and friend Y. Velasco joined the band as well as another friend of his on drums and started rehearsing with various difficulties and conflicts caused by the drummer which was eventually sacked from the band. After the departure of the older drummer, a school mate of Y. Velasco offered to take the place. We are currently looking for a lead guitarrist. Our (simple) "Manifesto":- We are actually aware that we cannot call ourselves post-punk as the movement already died long time ago (that's the reason behind the post-punk revival term), so we decided to call ourselves something else, BUT we still consider ourselves post-punk even if we can't be called as so.- We hate the "indie" and "indie rock" tags of the recent years because we feel it has been missisued by hipsters, the press (*cough*NME*cough*) and MTV (Also behind creating trends out of musical movements like Rap-metal Grunge, Alternative rock, New Wave, and the still ongoing Punk revival)- We don't like hipsters or pretentiousness, we just do what we like and to anyone who likes it.- Why in english? We don't want to be wannabees, we just feel it's a reaction against bands like The Hall Effect, The Mills but it is mainly a reaction against the extremely pseudo-nationalist and mediocre Tropipop, the present rock scene in Colombia and the current political situation of the country ("be with the country or be it's enemy").- We are all between the ages of 15 and 16, now, that clearly means that we are still "brats"...but we'll be learning more thing of life sooner or later.- NME? no thanks! New Rave? NO THANKS!! Indie Kids? COULD YOU PLEASE SHOVE IT!!?...thanks! (I think you get the point...right?).- We felt that a reaction to the punk rock scene was neccesary and we are comforted to know that there are older Colombian bands taking initative to do this....or just to make different music.- We want to have fun during the realization of this proyect and vehicle and that's it! (not meaning we want to be accesible or poppy).
