Kadets

It's cos we're Russian innit!

About Me

Kadets are a three-piece alternative-rock-dance-punk supergroup from Tonbridge, Kent. Comprised of Tom "no way am I being in a band called Kadets" Corbett (Icarus) on bass, Will "needs more reverse delay" Page (The Case, Shapes) on guitar and Jonnie "Jonnie" Barnett (Psykick Dance Hall) on drums; the band set out with the aim of interpreting the economic policies of 1917 Russian Prime Minister Prince Lvov through the medium of rave. Sober, they settled on sounding “a bit like Radiohead”. Despite only forming in January 2008; Kadets have already written several songs including “We Should Be Dead”, “Dragged Out”, “Sundown” and “I Know How This Ends” which were performed live at “Wood(man)stock” on April 2nd at Tunbridge Wells Forum. Priding themselves on their spontaneous renditions of “The National Anthem” (Russian of course), unique taste in headgear, substandard mic-stands and ability to give various band members an electric shock by twiddling the mixer switch; the band have many more songs in progress (most of which sound like Bloc Party) and plan on hitting the live scene again sometime this summer.“Praise” for Kadets’ Songs:I Know How This Ends-“It sounds like Modest Mouse”We Should Be Dead- “Like a kick in the face” (Isaac Harland)
