I gave myself to sin, I gave myself to providence and I've been there and back again.

About Me

Cool Myspace Contact Tables
MySpace Icons
You can judge me, it's okay :^) I don't have any tattoos. I haven't ever had anything pierced. I usually have short hair. I shave every morning, except when I'm camping. I play music and write songs/sing for the Variable Stars.
I don't drink alcohol or do drugs. That would technically make me sXe. ??? Straight-edged? Well, maybe but I got other vices. And I'm not a dick about other people doing it. But if you like needles and powders, I probably will keep a safe distance from you. And keep them a safe distance from my friends because I got a wicked anger streak!
I work at the PALO ALTO CITY LIBRARY as a circulation clerk... People will often think that makes one a "librarian" which is not true, though I like being thought of as one. Librarians love every book. Us circ people BURN THE BOOKS! MUHAHAHAHA! No, not really. We deal with stats, weeding, checkout, checkin, shelving, and the public. Librarians deal with information and complex questions. And librarians KNOW EVERYTHING. Or at least where to go or who to ask to find out ANYTHING.
I LOVE the bay area with all my heart and soul. From Novato to Gilroy baby, I'm a booster! This is the greatest place on Earth. Period. No arguments, no discussion.
I am a walking book of Alcatraz trivia. My favorite place in the world is Angel Island.
Read the Scorpio description, it fits me perfectly. I'm intense, passionate, your best friend or your worst enemy. Anyone who has a minor working knowledge of astrology will hear "scorpio" and think "SEX FREAK!" That's only partially true. Yeah we like sex a lot and probably think about it more than the average rabbit, but it doesn't mean we are into kink. Well... maybe if the mood calls for it... Not too sure about things involving animals, metal rods, or torture devices.. In a nutshell, a scorpio is passionate and intense. Just remember that, ignore all that bad stuff about us being "manipulative, selfish, brooding, sexually deviant bastards" it's SOOOO not true! Okay, okay.. MAYBE some of it is partially true.. okay fine.. some of it is PARTIALLY true.. and some of it is completely true.. No... it's all completely true.
Woah... that was intense. Time for a joke... crap, I can't think of any. Howbout a snack? yeah! a snack.. something sugary...

My Interests

I have about 3 theories for everything. Two of them are usually wrong and one of them is really just a joke. I like watching other people play video games. And I am easily entertained. I think hanging out and doing a crossword puzzle by myself or playing chess with the right person can be the greatest thing in the world. Some of the best things in life are free. Hiking in the foothills or swinging on swings late after dark, petting cats, playing music, napping next to a warm body, listening to CD's. Music, walking, music, art, music, doodling, talking, music, coffee, temperence, AIM, ebay, old keyboards, guitars, vintage anything, etc. Thrift stores, history, deep philosophical discussions, tarot cards, astrology a bit. And I collect lanterns.
I'm a sucker for historical landmarks. HUGE history buff. Especially California History.
I also love Stand up comedy, sketch comedy, improv, melted cheese, singing, dancing, playing shows, going to shows, swimming, tennis, baseball (go GIANTS)
And I always quote Wes Anderson movies. Mostly.. but really, just about any good movie line delivered by a master of the craft on screen is going to find it's way into a conversation with me.

I'd like to meet:

MY AIM IS TRUE Anyone else with good aim.MY AIM (aol instant messenger)=antaresspaceman Fascinating and fashionable girls. Actually, if a girl is fascinating, then she doesn't need to be fashionable. The converse is also true. And if a girl wears converse...then you are clearly both fashionable and fascinating. *See Above A),B),and C) People who love to talk music and movies. Music people! Not music "snobs" per se, but just people who like good music like all that junk I have listed in the "music" section of my profile. And girls that play the electric guitar. And not the "acoustic" electric. I mean the REAL DEAL! :^)
ALSO, I'd love to meet people whose life doesn't center around drinking or "420". Man, the music/artist community has a disturbing shortage of these people! Clean folks, come TALK TO ME! Not that you casual/social users are bad or I have no interest in you. NO WAY, man! I love you too! I just like to avoid people who can't have fun without numbing their consciousness for the night. That's all. Das ist zie

But actually I don't really watch TV. Occasionally UFC and baseball, basketball or football games

Books:

Anything by Augusten Burroughs. I am reading lots of books about the ancient near east, currently this one about the Ugaritic links to the Old Testament. I find biblical history and archeology especially exciting and enthralling. Also books about linguistic developement and human geography and geographic anthropology. Lots of really big words to describe pretty simple concepts. "who are we? How did we develope? where did we come from? how and why did we come up with languages and writing? Is any of this spiritual mumbo jumbo grounded in reality?"

Past favorite titles and authors include:::The Dwarf by Par Lagerkvist, Steinbeck, Jack London, non fiction and books with lots of pictures, The Complete Works of Flavius Josephus (Jewish Antiquity), Big Blue Book, NIV Big Black Book, CD inserts, and big reference books. And lately a lot of ghost stories; both true and fictional accounts of hauntings and supernatural events.

Heroes:

Martin Luther, Teddy Roosevelt, Mark Twain , John Muir, George Carlin, Stuart Murdoch, Elvis Costello , Augusten Burroughs, Elijah the Prophet, Charles Martel, Flavius Josephus, Erik the Red, Hernando Cortes, William Of Orange, Jesus Christ, George Lucas, Napoleon Bonaparte, Erwin Rommel, John Knox, John Calvin, Douglas McArthur, St.Olaf, Joan of Arc, Carrie Nation, Leif Erickson, Thor Heyerdahl, John C.Fremont, Mohammed, anyone who takes a stand for what they believe in provided it's not something I disagree with. But even then, if what they do is so outrageous and selfless, I can't help but look upon them with great admiration. I am more of a fan of people, not groups or causes.
Example: soviet soldier dives under the treads of a german tank with a grenade. That's fucking dedication!
EXAMPLE ..2: This one speaks for itself. I consider the young man below one of history's bravest people.
EXAMPLE..3:Monks demonstrating for peace in south vietnam burn themselves to death while praying. Let's see you do that shit Derek Jeter, Angelina Jolie, and Susan Sarandon! And my mom and dad are also heroes They managed to deal with me! har har.
Der meister ist....tot.... :^(ONE MORE THING! if you can't tell already, I'm eccentric. If I was truly crazy, I wouldn't have a job :^)
