Motores was formed in 2000, when guitarrist Gustavo X started searching for musicians around São Paulo. After hooking up with ex-drummer Flipi, they started to jam on a couple of Gustavo's songs, enlisting Rodrigo Luminatti as their bass player. The band soldiered as a trio until Talita showed up and stole the show. She was the last to join the band and gave boys the missing link they were looking for: a mix of Joan Jett, Blondie, Pretenders and No Doubt. Motores hit the streets and the gigs were non-stop. In late 2004, Flipi was handed his walking papers and the band auditioned a couple of skin pounders. They found that Ivan Copelli was the man for the job, after only one rehearsal with the band. Motores is currently recording their first album, produced by Brazilian 80's icon Kiko Zambianchi.
