Filth is the only remaining member of the band's original line-up, and has been accused by former members of regarding it almost as his own solo project ("Dani and the Filths", according to ex-keyboard player Les 'lecter' Smith). He currently lives in Suffolk, England with his wife Toni (married October 31, 2005) and daughter Luna (born February 8, 1999).
He has three cats named Lilith, Mushka and Rumble (one of which is missing a leg).
He is 5'5" (1.65 metres) tall.
He went to a private school and hated having to attend on Sundays.
He had the choice of becoming a journalist or pursuing a career in music.
His previous bands were PDA and Feast of Excrement and his first band was called The Lemon Grove Kids.
His favorite musical bands are Judas Priest, Emperor, Destruction, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Misfits, Paradise Lost.
He wrote a column for the magazine Metal Hammer called "Dani's Inferno".
One of the reasons he decided to make music was his fascination with its influence on people.
He is renowned for his vocal range. He has the ability to sing very "clean and clearly" but chooses a "dirty screaming" style because it fits better with the sound of Cradle of Filth.
He legally changed his name to Dani Filth by deed poll.
In 2000 he appeared in the movie Cradle of Fear as The Man, a deranged psychopath hellbent on taking revenge on his father's persecutors.
In 2003, he supplied the voice of a character called Dominator in an animated movie of the same name.
He appeared on the Roadrunner United CD in 2005, providing vocals on "Dawn of a Golden Age".
He appeared during the final season of Bam Margera's MTV series Viva La Bam, in an episode involving a stolen Hummer and a Cradle of Filth concert in Pennsylvania. The episode featured a portion of Cradle performing the song "Nemesis" from the album Nymphetamine.
He is in the process, along with Gavin Baddeley, of co-writing a book called The Gospel of Filth: A Black Metal Bible, currently scheduled for publication in September 2006.
Among his influences are Venom, Iron Maiden, The Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, Judas Priest, Emperor, Destruction, Slayer, The Misfits, Paradise Lost and Cathedral.
One of his favourite films is The Nightmare Before Christmas
He once had a skeleton embedded in the floor of his kitchen (and apparently around thirty buried in plots of land around his house).Quotes from Dani Filth:"I fucking hate arrogance. No, correct that... I fucking hate people. Vast mindless herds of people, usually around Christmas time or rush hour. And TV stereotyping. Urrrgh!Normality, waiting for anything (patience is not one of my virtues), litter, concrete urbanisation, lack of vision, religious strangleholds, bigotry, sponge cake... hate them all.""You tend to get rather bored with people or bands not making an effort to look less than ordinary, so we just try and be a little flamboyant, it's just the way we are. We're into this kinda thing."(When asked why he has a skeleton in his kitchen) "Well, it's a new kitchen.. so we thought it'd be ironic really, to have a skeleton in there."(When asked how he trains his voice) "Continual masturbation. I'm masturbating now. This arm is polystyrene."(When asked about what he's goign to teach Luna about religion) "I'll let her make up her own mind. I'm not going to force her into anything. I'm not going to force her into anything at all."(Concerning Luna) "She dosn't use the 'F' word though. Just like her daddy."(When asked what he's going to expose Luna to) "This is the irony of it. She loves Winnie the Pooh. And she loves The Simpsons. And she loves Disney. And Stuart Little. And stuff like that. And she'll dance to it, and that's what you expect from kids. But then at the same time, she'll be dancing around the kitchen to the new Nile album. At the moment she is too young to understand the difference. And that innocence is worth protecting."Discography:The Principle of Evil Made Flesh

Cradle of Filth has been a major part of my life for the past 10 months and will be first always for the rest of it.Oddly enough i feel like i have always known the music and was born to live this lifestyle. No matter how much I regret to say this I want to thank...Andrew Sumner for the introduction to the music. My first ever Cradle song was in High School when I heard the Babylon A.D. video the exact day that it was banned form american MTV. My son Carter is a Cradle fan from the Cradle so I hope that he will grow to be a future band member or work in the music industry along with these great musicians.I cannot say that i have one favorite album by Cradle Of Filth but i do have to say I adore Midian And even moe my two most favorite songs are "Scorched Earth Erotica" and "Gothic Romance-Red Roses For the Devils Whore"If there were any one thing I could ever say when I meet the band I would deffinately say "Lets have a fucking Drink and talk funtime" I realy want to get to know them on a :Down to earth personal level"I have found lately that the members are more settledd into their lives than you would imagine. I noticed myself getting more comfortable knowing that the aren't some group of PLUNKERS that never talk to their fans and can't get their heads outa their asses. they are all very FUN and normal people.
Don't really watch TV but love to read...currently in the middle of 120 Days of Sodom by the Marquis De Sade and a vampire field guide.Lovin' the Ann Rice Vampire set...

myself...i am the most successful person i know, that is alive. And i took this silly quiz on some randome shit and this is what it said about me...sadly it is all true..." The subject shows an astounding level of intelligence, and her sense of observation is one of her best qualities. Considering this, she shows a lot of potential, but that's only part of the equation. But what concerns us most about the subject is her sinister and violent attitude. While we almost find it amusing that the subject would rather kill something than suffer a minor inconvenience, it effectively destroys her ability to survive tight situations. Our study suggests there is a large chance the subject will end up in prison! Finally, the subject displayed a poor (and a little bit boring) sense of humor, a nearly satanic lack of morality, and a arrogant and inflated self-confidence. The balance of these three traits is important; high levels of confidence, medium levels of morality, and a good level of humor make for the strongest individuals.
