About Me

Recording Artist, Song Writer, Model, Journalist, Publicist, Performer, Booking Agent.
Rack-Lo, grew up in the Brownsville section of brooklyn, New York. He was raised and inspired by his father and his uncle (Dr. Tango) a legendary Brownsville DJ on hip hop culture. Hearing classic master pieces by the likes of; Kurtis Blow, Fat Boys, Run Dmc, Erik B and Rakim, Public Enemy and BDP influenced him to want to control the crowd through words and rackology diction.
Rack-Lo was always perceptive to be skillful at his lyrical craft and any other elements of Hip hop he indulges in. To convey his art he incorporates real life, racklo experiences, mixed with humor and street politics, futuristic beats, rhymes and and the lo-life way of life as his song writing abilities crosses the lines of reality and imagination. Rhyme schemes and patterns are sharp enabling him to create untouchable flows and lyrics that stand the test of time.
Although Rack-Lo is a recording maniac, he takes his abilities much further that just music. Besides being a FOUNDER of the legendary boostin crew out of Brooklyn called Lo-Lifes, he has also penned the Rack-Lo autobiography his life story Pt.1 relating to the Lo-Life Era. This book is a must read and see for all true Hip Hop Heads, Lo Heads, Lo-Lifes, Lo-Wifes, Lo Diva's and Vintage Gear Addicts around the world and those that enjoy a good read with entertaining photographs.
Not only has he evolved into a skilled spitter and song writer, but Rack-Lo also demonstrates a solid business acumen as well. He is front and center in Skillionaire Enterprises and he is also the CEO of his own company founded in 2002 Spit Factory/URL:/www.spitfactoryonline.com and founder of www.lo-lifes.com. Through his dynamic vision and understanding of hip hop politics on a global level, he has spearheaded and organized the offline and online sales for Skillionaire/Spit Factory artist, bookings, promotions and street team promotions and publicity work. Through his creation of Spit Factory, Rack-Lo created another viable vehicle geared toward promoting and advertising his; music, videos, dvd's, journalism, news, tour dates, downloads, gear, ring tones etc. A way to advertise his self and art to the world.

SAME * DAMN * LO * SWEATER THE RELIABLY PREPPY CLOTHING COMPANY, POLO RALPH LAUREN, HAS HAD A SIGNIFICANT-THOUGH UNINTENDED- IMPACT ON HIP HOP FASHION AND RHYME.In the late eighties, Polo Ralph Lauren got its street cred from an unlikely set: Geers. Brooklyns Lo-Life crew, featuring hip hop icons Thirstin Howl The 3rd and Rack-Lo, made high end stores their personal playgrounds: racking entire racks of Polo clothing and then sporting absurdly ostentatious combinations around the neighborhood. With Polo, it was unlimited, recalls Thirstin Howl The 3rd. Everyday was like another crack head mission. You could never get enough. There was always something new you didnt see yet. Hip hoppers rocked polo (check out celebrities wearing Polo) rocked Polo to look as pampered and affluent as the waspy preps in the Ralph Lauren ads, but in the end, they inadvertently redefined what the little horseman stood for. While Tommy Hilfiger and Timberland seemingly vacillated between avoiding and then overly embracing their urban consumers, Polo Ralph Lauren maintained a frosty aloof-ness toward its hip hop fan base- making it even more irresistible. In 1995, Tyson Beckford, an African American kid born in the Bronx who appeared in countless VIBE and The Source fashion stories, became the first African American model to sign an exclusive contract with Ralph Lauren. Heads recognized the familiar face, while the core Ralph Lauren audience knew none the better.Meanwhile, Polo continued to get lyrical love from a range of rappers, name checked by everyone from Slick Rick, Trick Daddy, and most notably, Raekwon, who refers to the company not once, but twice on the wu-tangs indelible C.R.E.A.M.And though hip hop entrepreneurs have launched clothing brands like Phat Farm and Sean John, which compete directly with Polo, loyalist like Thirstin and Rack-Lo are plenty happy to stay original. Theyre catering too much, Im a trendsetter. I dont need to be catered to
