FILO

THE FILA KING!

About Me

FI-LO BIOGRAPHY
Beginning as a dancer in hip hop in the late 80’s for an unsigned E.N.Y. rapper named Gucci Jones. FI-LO and his brother FI-LO 2 (rip) would destroy dance floors throughout New York in some of the wildest most dangerous hole in the wall clubs.
Already being an original LO-LIFE (NYC Boosters) hailing from the 90’s east Flatbush on the border line of Brownsville in Brooklyn, FI-LO was known for his massive collection of FILA apparel. From velour sweatsuits, ski jumpers and FILA sneakers with all the accessories to match. Well organized FI-LO’s bedroom always looked like the FILA section of a major department store or clothing outlet. Making him the FILA king of Brooklyn.
As time went by FI-LO the dancer became FI-LO the rapper with style, energy and a wildness not from this world but from a dark hole in the universe. He later formed a rap group called “The Killing Team” who in 1995 signed with rapper Special ED’s Dolla Cab Records label. Recording countless songs as “ The Killing Team” in Special Ed’s studio “The Dolla Cab Lab” FI-LO also became a member of “The Dolla Cab Arabs” a rap group consisting of Special Ed and his closest friends.
Soon after “The Killing Team” would split up and The Dolla Cab Lab studio shut down leaving FI-LO to become a solo artist with no where to record. He built a bond with one of Special Ed’s brothers “Drew” who was also one of the music producers from The Dolla Cab Lab. They began to record a massive amount of music including “Find Biggie Smalls Killer” a song that caught the attention of the slain rapper’s mother Wolleta Wallace. Ms. Wallace became involved in the assist of presenting the song to higher powers. That was put on pause due to the dangerous circumstances surrounding The Brooklyn rappers Murder.
From “The Killing Team” to “Dolla Cab Arabs” and solo recordings with Special Ed’s brother “Drew” FI-LO left everyone of those situations without securing or having access to the multiple albums his wild imagination had created.
In 2007 he was approached by his longtime LO-LIFE crime affiliate Thirstin Howl the 3rd who offered FI-LO the opportunity to sign with the already established Skillionaire Enterprises. FI-LO had already been featured on several Thirstin Howl songs throughout the years like “Chicken Chokers” (Skillionaire Lp 1999) “Jump” (Lo Down & Dirty Lp 2007) and The 2000 spit squad banga “throw ya drugs in the air” feat Maskilla Gorilla.
Now FI-LO’s wild and crazy energetic style will finally be heard on his soon to be released “KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN” LP on SKILLIONAIRE ENTERPRISES produced by ANGER BANGERS the album will feature the single and video for “The Ridiculous” feat THIRSTIN HOWL THE 3RD and DJ P.F. CUTTIN. A song FI-LOand THIRSTIN had planned to make over ten years ago but never did.
"To be honest it was all meant to happen the way it did because SKILLIONAIRE ENTERPRISES was where FI-LO was meant to be. This was always his home even when he was signed elsewhere." - THIRSTIN HOWL THE 3RD
