I think I'm still reeling over this whole new revelation of this person who I'm meeting over and ove

About Me

Sarah Palin's vendetta against wolves. I'm not against hunting, but I am against some forms of hunting. Aerial is one, clubbing baby seals is another.
News Flash: I'm aware of how dorky I am, but I'm okay with that. I don't really like to be bothered and for the most part, I don't like people in general. They'll usually say something stupid within a few minutes to make me question their intelligence and/or morals at which point I lose all interest. I know, it sounds so bitchy, but I'm okay with that too.
My bf, Chris is a gift. Every day gets better and I can't remember ever having so much fun with someone or laughing so often even if we're doing the most menial tasks, like washing dishes or doing what I loathe(!), laundry.
My friends, Patti, Kim, Tab, and KB are awesome and they've really helped me grow as a person this past year along with my wonderful horse, Madeira who has developed my patience, understanding, and how I relate to all animals.
This year has brought about some great changes in my life. I've met wonderful people and I've cut out those that seek to harm. I have no need for such frivilous pursuits of gossip and games of manipulation, especially by people with no life who's main goal is to put themselves at the top of someone's top 8 even if it's behind the person's back. Life is too short for such games!
I love all kinds of music from classical to techno to rap to country to electronica. I'm all over the place. Outside of music, I love camping and hiking and kayaking. Anything outside that I can explore, like a new trail or kayaking down a river I've never been down before is so exciting to me. I'm content with packing lunch, drinks, a couple beers then pulling my kayak on shore where there is nobody around and enjoying a picnic.
I have no tolerance for rude, ignorant people that speak before thinking and asshole drivers with no thought to those they cut off or slow down. Asshats. My biggest pet peeve is horse snobs and irresponsible breeding. Don't act like you're the best rider with the best horse or with the most expensive saddle, while you put others down. Anybody who is responsible should be able to ride horses, not only the self absorbed elitists. Bad breeding practices are explained in this great, funny blog, Fugly Horse of the Day . Even if you don't know anything about horses, it will explain key points to ponder for the thinking human being.

I brake for squirrels. I look but I don't touch. I can be snotty. I'm a smartass, but I can take what others dish out. I like to eat fast food like a barbarian. Er, when I'm by myself at least. I yell at my TV during hockey games. I'm insecure sometimes and think I'm fat. I like to be quiet. I like writing with only one pen until the ink runs out. I've accomplished something. I love brownie sundaes and soft serve vanilla ice cream with sliced bananas with hot fudge. I call it "Heaven in a Cup". I like the way my horse smells. I have a braclet with the name of my first horse on it. I'll never forget her. I like it when Cowhead says "Pumpkin". Stapler removers remind me of the Thundercats logo. I'm messy, but mentally organized. I have bizarre moments of overwhelming compassion when I see someone eating alone. I want to sit with them. I don't like getting cat calls. It makes me blush. I don't like puppy breath. Gross! Shallow people piss me off. I hate those rice burner cars with the loud annoying exhaust. I've heard weed eaters with bigger balls then those cars. Cliques are gangs for self absorbed girls. I do more thinking than talking. Sometimes life hurts, but it's easier to put a smile on and wait for the good that's right around the corner than dwell on the bad and what I can't fix.
I love cats. Why? Because they're damn funny. Watch:

My Interests

My Favorite Pastime
Hanging out at the beach, fishing-mostly salt water in Tampa Bay, kayaking, playing with waverunners (maybe I'll buy one of those someday), reading, riding my horse, or someone else's horse, bike riding, going to horse shows to watch how bad other people ride (it makes me feel better when somebody else has the same bad habits), or just going for a drive with all my windows down and my music up loud enjoying the sunshine and salt air and of course, watching hockey games.

On evenings when I'm not riding you can find me in front of my TV catching up on LOST. That's only a little cheesy....right?

I Am

Which tarot card are you? Spiritual enlightenment, inner illumination, hidden power. Link between seen and unseen. Balance of positive and negative forces. Receptivity. Unseen guidance. A young woman sits on a throne holding a scroll labeled "Tora" meaning "law." On her breast is the sign of the meeting of heaven and earth, the Maltese cross. Her crown is the full orb supported by horns, the crown ofthe Mother Goddess Isis, who rules all things changeable, shown by the moon at her feet. Her power, upon which her throne rests, derives from the creative principle of duality, shown by the two pillars of light and darkness. To those who know and love her she dispenses the sweet fruit of the world itself, symbolized by the pomegranites.

I'd like to meet:

Movies:

Who hasn't seen Flight of the Navigator?! Other movies are Signs, Dirty Dancing (I'm female, so it's automatic. *shrug*), V for Vendetta, From Dust to Glory (documentary), Dazed and Confused, which I never tire of watching, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Napolean Dynamite, Joe Dirt, Ever After (such junk food), The Lion King (should I admit that?!), Uncle Buck, The Adventures of Sebatian Cole, Pirates of the Caribbean along with the second one, Talladega Nights, Dead Man's Chest, The Wedding Singer, Never Been Kissed, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Old School and The Great Outdoors..a classic.

One of the best documentaries I've ever seen is Living With Wolves and Wolves At Our Door. I ended up buying them on DVD. This photo is of Lakota and Kamatz (pronounced Kah-Mah-z). Lakota was oddly the Omega, and Kamatz, his brother, was the Alpha:

Television:

My junk food includes: Survivorman and LOST. I hate most sitcomes so I usually avoid them with the exception of That 70's Show. I can't wait until Animal Planet's next season of Horse Power, The Road to the Maclay. I also watch South Park and The Colbert Report

Books:

The Queen's Own, An Intimate History of Humanity by Theodore Zeldin (great book), The Tao of Equus (awesome, inspiring book), Horse Watching by Desmond Morris, Black Beauty, Harry Potter, The Black Stallion series, The Chronicles of Narnia (all books), The Winter King, Orca a whale called Killer, Pride and Prejudice, Wicked, countless horse training and riding theory books, and anything by Kathleen Woodiwiss (historical romances....crap should I admit that too?!). Magazines are Horse Illustrated and Practical Horseman.

Heroes:

Uh....well, yikes. Martin St. Louie from the TB Lightning. The way he swooped through the 2003-2004 Stanley Cup winning season and let the other teams know who was boss as he shoved their hockey pucks down their cotton netted throats. That was his year.
