Music, Movies, Reading books and good magazines (Adbusters for example), Cooking, Yoga, Dive bars, Biking...The list goes on. I'm basically interested in anything out of the ordinary or bizarre that i've never heard of. For example, I just saw a piece on KCET about river blindness in Africa. Parasites enter people's bloodstream, cause constant itching, leading many of them to kill themselves, and eventually get into the eyes where they cause scarring and blindness. It is seriously fucked up.
Anyone who has some spark of creativity and humor. People who hate the president - i know that's a tall order. A sugar mama if possible, but for some reason they're not as prevalent as i'd like. someone who can handle my awesomeness without being completely overwhelmed. seriously, for now i'll say some cool people to hang out with. you'll know who you are. hopefully.Just someone to rock my fuckin world, and I can rock their world, and it'll be like a big rock opera, but without people dying all over the place. it could happen.
Tom Waits, Arcade Fire, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Talking Heads, Dangerdoom, Radiohead, Air, Flaming Lips, Beck, Decemberists, Beastie Boys, Raveonettes, Calexico, Clash, Clinic, CocoRosie, David Bowie, Death Cab, Devendra Banhart, Eliot Smith, Pixies, Frank Black, Gorillaz, White Stripes, Kills, Lemon Jelly, Mike Doughty, Modest Mouse, Ugly Cassanova, Stones, Sonic Youth, TV on the Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, old blues with a nice dirty sound. There's way more, but you get the idea. Luckily, my job keeps me up to my eyeballs in new stuff. It's the best perk ever.
Peter Jackson, PT Anderson, David O. Russell, Hitchcock, Coen Bros., Eternal Sunshine, wait until dark, the getaway, Bourne movies, wonder boys, better off dead, city of lost children, cyclo, jesus' son, spongebob squarepants (seriously, it's hilarious), capote, squid and the whale, and oldboy is the most thoroughly amazing movie i've seen in an incredibly long time.
Arrested Development, Lost, Six Feet Under (RIP), Simpsons, NOW, American Experience, Always Sunny in Philly, Mad Men.
Salinger, Bukowski, Robbins, Murakami, Carver, Russell Banks. The Corrections did okay. House of Leaves. I'll say those guys are the major favorites.
