About Me

Massive life-changes ahead of 2008. Split up with my girlfriend of 12 years (back in Oct) who I met when I was just 16 at college, bless. Think we're still getting on ok at present though, even if it is only by the odd text - wish you all the best for the future if you read this Maddy! x
Obviously that meant moving out of my house too, so currently crashing at me dad's which is nice to spend some more time with the old boy and nicer still cos he goes to his girlfriend's every weekend so the place is mine.
Just need things to settle down a bit for now and get back some kinda routine, been flyin' by the seat o'my pants for months now with everything going on.
In the quiet end of the country, but not so far removed that I can't make it to the best gigs. Two gigs really stand out for me over the last couple of years, seeing John Squire at the ICA in London in Feb '04, watching him play mere feet from my face and of course, the now legendary open-air concert that was Ian Brown at Claremont Landscape Gardens in Esher, Surrey where he played a full-set of Roses tunes in a one-off occasion that set the summer all ablaze!
but of course I would pay way too much to see them play together again onstage.
For my sins I run the Stone Roses websites JSU ( www.john-squire.com ) and Ian Brown Whispers ( www.ianbrownwhispers.co.uk ) which take up far too much of my time and gives me far too many headaches :P Although since my life has changed somewhat I'm not been able to find the time or desire to work on them so for now, they are on hold.

My Interests

MUSIC, MUSIC, MUSIC... known to dabble a bit in website design ( www.john-squire.com )... bit of gaming, pubbing, clubbing, cinema-ing, driving with the tunes on.

Getting out and about much more this year and away from these retched computers, which is nice... tis the year of change, new job, new friends, new me and all that... need to book more gigs though.

Learning to appreciate a bit of art after years of researching John Squire

I'd like to meet:

The Stone Roses, back-stage after their reformation comeback gig, which I'm sure they'll get around to, sometime :S

You have been marked on my profile map!

Ian Brown & Mani - I Am The Resurrection Vs Cancer 2007
The Stone Roses - Fools Gold - Finland 1990

Music:

I listen to allsorts of music, all the time (I need some new music right now though), but the top 4 never changes... The Stone Roses , Ian Brown , John Squire , Seahorses

And some of the rest... Primal Scream (grateful for Riot City Blues), Kasabian, The View, The Open, The Rifles, Go! Team, The Music, Doves, Bloc Party (mostly Silent Alarm), The Bluetones, The Bees, Smashing Pumpkins (saw them at Wembley Arena '96 for their Mellon Collie UK tour - grateful for Zeitgeist), The Charlatans, Delays, Andy Watts, The Yards, Oasis, The 88s, Light Brigade, The Coral (Invisible Invasion), Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Verve (Urban Hymns), Kula Shaker, Happy Mondays (got them pills, thrills n' bellyaches), Black Grape (it's great when yer straight), The Shining, Inspiral Carpets, Gomez, Blur, Hurricane #1, Ride, Turin Brakes (The Optimist LP), Tenacious D, Shed Seven, Rick Witter & The Dukes, Embrace (The Good Will Out), Klaxons, The Cribs, The Subways, Supergrass, Radiohead (The Bends), Green Day (Dookie), Weezer (Buddy Holly), Reef, Nirvana (MTV Unplugged in New York, first CD album I ever bought), Feeder, Pulp (Different Class), The Kooks, The Rising, Mozer, To The Disco!, Aziz, {Zero 7, Lemon Jelly, Goldfrapp, Air (Moon Safari) all good .. poker music}, UNKLE. Loads & Loads More.
