About Me

Welcome to the myspace page of a young, motivated, passionate educator/writer/child activist. I truly appreciate the visit and hope that you enjoy the diverse climate; I aim to be the balance between the new and old school, in which I plan to educate using the extraordinary wisdom of knowledgable scholars such as Honorable Cornel West, while integrating knowledge and traditions from the current hip hop culture. Sit back and relax, and as always suggested, hit me with a little of your knowledge so that I can continue to grow as well! As far as the writing goes, I am an all around entertainment journalist that has published articles in Break, ODS, Dapper, and Down Magazines. I look forward to adding to my writing repetoir and will be able to add The Source to that list in the near future...I definitely appreciate you Jeremy (thru Chiq)! Check out my pic and jump on the ride I call J.Writes fun and crazy life...Peace.

My Interests

My true passions are educating and writing. I have always loved spreading knowledge onto kids, and teaching has been not only an outlet to do so, but also a chance to learn from every student that I encounter. I also love to write; I freelance write for magazines and online publications, and also have a chldren's book called MY ADVENTURE TO SAFETY available on www.amazon.com, www.target.com, www.abebooks.com, and a few other outlets. Cehck out the cover.

Music:

My musical interest can best be described as eclectic...I have respect for all music, but I really love HIP-HOP! I feel that hip-hop has opened up and diversified itself to welcome more than what is traditionally viewed as hip-hop, and I love that. I am currently working on some hip-hop items for kids so be on the look out...and get ready! Oh yeah, I challenge anyone who thinks they're a bigger Beyonce fan...LOL, but 4real! There also is an artist out of L.A. named Mirrah...she is hip-hop. She previously starred on TLC's: Who's the Girl, but I met and saw her live, she is the truth (singer/rapper/dancer/cool ass lady); look for her on my friends list...she's dope for real!
..
