My name is Jim Stryde. Im an MC and Songwriter from Birmingham in the West Midlands. Ive been playin keyboards and making music as far back as I can remember. I first learnt to MC by watching MCs at Drum n Bass Raves and listening to underground mixtapes. Soon I started trying to incorporate what i heard and develop it into my own style. About a year ago i also began writing my own songs. For inspiration I looked to the city around me, rolled around on the buses and trains and saw alot of different faces, all with their own stories to tell. Ive also listened to alot of blues artists of yesteryear. Recently ive formed a band, with a group of like minded friends, called the Dizzolvers. We've been performing in venues around the Midlands and London, the sounds you hear on the Dizzolvers and this page are a result of that collaboration.
