About Me

I'm a Dutch teacher...teaching Dutch, English and German at a comprehensive school. I also study Italian, because my son, his girlfriend and grandson are living in Italy. Regularly we like to visit them and spend a nice time in that beautiful country. The Italian food is fabulous. Music is one of the main parts of my life. In earlier days I used to play the flute and saxophone, although I never played in a band. My first vinyl (!) was "Déja Vu" ( C, S, N & Y, (I still have it), one of my favorite bands at that time, just like the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Grand Funk, Ten Years After, Golden Earring, the Byrds, Flying Burrito Brothers, Gram Parsons, Bob Dylan, Emmylou Harris, the Band, the Eagles, Dire Straits, the Outlaws, the Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Thin Lizzy, Fleetwood Mac, Eric Clapton, Johnny Cash, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters and so much more. That's how it all started. Nowadays I'm focussed on alt country, bluegrass, americana, countryrock, bluesrock and some Italian artists. Nevertheless, I'm always interested in all kinds of music.
