THE MUSIC IS POETIC, INNOVATIVE AND ECLECTIC with harmonious vocals.
The tracks are comprised of 12-string acoustic guitar & creative keyboard arrangements while other tracks are more electric-guitar driven.
The overall sound of the music is introspective, mystical & soulfully heartfelt.
"Maria and the Fox" have been performing in venues throughout New York as well as Florida. Right now we are taking a break from the music circuit to write and record more music.
The songs have been played on commercial, college and internet radio. Our title track, "Wounds of an Angel" has been embodied on a 9-11 compilation album and all proceeds went to the families of the firefighters that were victims of the attack. We also performed at several charity fund-raising events which included Toys for Tots, Vibs, and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
***THERE IS AN ELECTRIC REMIX OF "Prisoner of Addiction" in our music player and another new song called "A Truth and a Lie"... these two tracks are not on the "Wounds of an Angel" CD and not yet available for download, they will be on our next CD that is to be announced (TBA).

The track "Wounds of an Angel" is a song about self-preservation and trying to survive in a world that is filled with pain and suffering. There are many decent and innocent people on this planet and we have all been burdened by corruption, disease, pollution, deception and have been mislead at one time or another. This can make a basically kind-hearted person become guarded and saddened...hence the title "Wounds of an Angel." The "shelter of light" is basically having the wisdom of knowing what you can and cannot handle. Hence the lyrics, "she's wise enough to know what she's unable to endure and only seeks what she chooses to explore "
