She’s back! Shelita Hamm and GAY BINGO Charlotte return after a two-year hiatus! Friends of RAIN, a volunteer group of individuals raising money for RAIN (Regional AIDS Interfaith Network), is bringing back GAY BINGO Charlotte for a one night only event. Saturday, October 18, 2008 , Friends of RAIN is thrilled to present SHELITA AND THE CITY! Join us for a somewhat warped, tragically funny night of bingo, BVDs, and the fabulous Miss Shelita! It’s going to be a BIG night!
Gay BINGO Charlotte, produced by Friends of RAIN, is a wild, fun, outrageous costumes, song, dance, fabulous prizes and totally unconventional bingo games - an unpredictable, exciting night. This annual fundraiser raises money for RAIN (Regional AIDS Interfaith Network). Each bingo has it's own theme, set of special games and rules just for Gay BINGO participants!
Since the first event - "Big Hair BINGO" in February 2000, BINGO attendance has grown from 100 person maximum at the Great Aunt Stella Center to sell out crowds of over 1,500 people at the Grady Cole Center.
