About Me

Anarcho-Junglist Enchaioui Boddhisatva-Trainee; 6'5" of cuddly Viking n' stuff.
Chicago born & bred; moved to California young and have been in SF forever now (sort of a Midwestern chassis with classic California detailing n' aftermarket parts - that is, if I were a car. Which I'm not.)

Music. Learning new stuff. Adventure. Hedonism. Creativity. You're born with both a brain AND a body, and it's important to use both of 'em as much as possible.

Few things in life compare to watching grandparents dance to Rick James or NWA at weddings. It really doesn't get any better than that.

My Interests

Music (makin' + listenin'); road trips; history; weird movies; fringe science; art; counterculture; philology, linguistics, & etymology; cog sci; discovering new restaurants; exploration; Buddhism (Theravada); leftism (Bakunin, etc.); reading; mantids; Fortean phenomena & hidden history; NLP; botany; memetics; philosophy; planted aquaria...
...and the smell of frying onions and rosemary.

"You live in a dream. You're a sleepwalker, blind. How do you know what the world is like? Do you know the world is a foul sty? Do you know, if you rip off the fronts of houses, you'd find swine? The world's a hell. What does it matter what happens in it? Wake up, Charlie. Use your wits. Learn something."
- from Shadow Of A Doubt, 1943/Hitchcock
