Sonicate is an Alternative/Indie-Rock trio based in St. Paul, Minnesota. Combining the artistry of independent music with the power and palatability of contemporary pop-rock, Peter Baker (drums), Willie GB (vocals, bass), and Ian Jackson (guitar, vocals) are poised to establish themselves as a mainstay in the Minnesota music scene. With influences ranging from Radiohead to Third Eye Blind, Sonicate explores a variety of styles in their writing, and never stray from their dedication to providing an energetic live show.
Sonicate formed in 2004, venturing out of their basement studio to play shows in the Southern-region of Minnesota (including a bizarre appearance at the Mall of America where they found themselves opening for an elementary school's production of "Alice in Wonderland").
In the fall of 2004 they recorded a full-length album at Pachyderm Studios. The album, All Good Things, was released in June 2005.
In January 2006, Sonicate relocated to St. Paul, and were recently joined by Peter Baker on drums. They continue to write and rehearse new material and have plans for many new shows in the upcoming months, in addition to starting work on a new album.
