About Me

WLUW Sound of the Fury and Uranium Music are a combined dual-pronged attempt at metal world domination. Work is conducted by a pair of semi-hippie, overworked but well-intentioned people from the Chicago area as well as other staffers across the US. We are a small group, but when not in school or working full-time, we spend our spare hours in an attempt to bring attention to metals most innovative and thought-provoking bands. We are independent and have NOTHING to do with FUSE TV.
About Kim - I graduated from Northwestern University in 2003 and now work full-time there as an analyst. I'm planning to enter a Ph.D. program in 2008 and am currently taking classes to prepare for that - Vector Calculus at the moment. When I actually have free time, I try to do metal stuff. Shpedoinkal! Dig: metal, curry, partying with the drunkos, kitties, your mom, NPR, open minds, champagne, storms, math, thrift stores, illegal downloading, yoga/pilates/hitting da gym, coffee, pondering the imponderable, Belgian beer, honesty, my books, jazz, experimenting... Don't dig: the Chicago Transit Authority, thoughtless people, anyone trying to convert me to anything, jeans that don't fit my ass, closed minds, asshole cops, doing work that doesn't inspire me, people driving slowly in the left lane, dealing with bureaucracy of any sort...m/
About Mike - I grew up over in Belgium and Japan and I currently live in Chicago, taking classes full-time and working part-time at Northwestern University, finishing off a degree in Computer Science. Aside from doing web design/development and maintaining uraniummusic.com, I enjoy attending concerts, playing tennis, parties with friends, mental "expansion", and the Buddha. FUCK YOU to drunk meatheads at shows who rough people around and shout discouraging words at the bands, President Bush and his croneys, and all of you musical elitists that think you know more about music than anyone else.
