His best records are still extremely highly regarded, and he is often cited as one of the finest singers of his era. He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1987 and posthumously received the Grammy Awards' Lifetime Achievement Award in 1996. His masterpiece "What's Going On" is widely considered one of the greatest albums in music history. This page is a tribute for his loyal, ever evolving fan base.
