You are The Devil

Materiality. Material Force. Material temptation; sometimes obsession

The Devil is often a great card for business success; hard work and ambition.

Perhaps the most misunderstood of all the major arcana, the Devil is not really "Satan" at all, but Pan the half-goat nature god and/or Dionysius. These are gods of pleasure and abandon, of wild behavior and unbridled desires. This is a card about ambitions; it is also synonymous with temptation and addiction. On the flip side, however, the card can be a warning to someone who is too restrained, someone who never allows themselves to get passionate or messy or wild - or ambitious. This, too, is a form of enslavement. As a person, the Devil can stand for a man of money or erotic power, aggressive, controlling, or just persuasive. This is not to say a bad man, but certainly a powerful man who is hard to resist. The important thing is to remember that any chain is freely worn. In most cases, you are enslaved only because you allow it.

My Interests

Just got done promoting my upcoming film, "Schism" by Lyons Den Productions, at the Sundance Film Festival. I was also promoting myself a bit and just having a great time. The film "Fist of the Vampire," which I'm also in, comes out on DVD in August. I expect everyone to buy it.

I'd like to meet:

Eddie Vedder, Christian Slater (had a crush on him and Kirk Cameron when I was younger) and anyone who has their own story to tell.

Music:

Pearl Jam, Pearl Jam, Pearl Jam. I've been to 10 concerts since 2003. The last one, Lollapalooza, didn't end so well, but I'm ready to go again. That said I also like everything from the Killers to Madonna to Nine Inch Nails to bar bands -- the latest of my favorite locals include Killerinas, Telefonics, Mas Nova, Super No. 7, and Dirt McGurtt. That said, who's the next band I'll pay megabucks to go see? Pearl Jam, of course.

Movies:

Everyone must see "We Are Marshall," cause it was filmed partially in my hometown, and local Erie filmmaker John C. Lyons' "Schism" and local filmmaker Len Kabasinski's "Fist of the Vampire." I have parts in both and they should be amazing.I also love B-rated vampire flicks, as well as the more mainstream ones. I enjoy indie films, as well as anything by Gus Van Sant and Quentin Tarantino. My favorites are "My Own Private Idaho," "True Romance," "Pump Up the Volume," "Heathers," and "Pulp Fiction."I've also been known to enjoy the sappy chick flick as well as the blow-them-up action movies. Just ask ex-boyfriends who can't understand why I took them to see the previous category while I took my best friend -- generally a chick -- to see the latter.

Television:

The writers' strike sucks. But at least there's new episodes of Nip/Tuck and One Tree Hill for now.

Books:

Anne Rice's occult and adult fiction.Sydney Sheldon.Jean-Paul Sartre.Stephen King. All romance novelists who kept me sane from middle school through high school.
