About Me

TAKEN FROM UPPERS WEBSITE: Residing in the North-East of England, David can often be found finding new storage places for shoes, watching bad 60s/70s TV and championing an 'all-embracing' modernist approach to clothes, music, film and art. Discovering it all via his interest in The Jam/new wave music as a 13/14 year-old and via his parents 60's pop and soul tapes heard in the car as a kid, he is just as likely to get excited by folk-rock, Acid Jazz and exotica/soundtrack as he is RnB, soul and 60's beat. He also enjoys 60s/70s football, corduroy jeans/jackets, Malcolm McDowell and 'On The Buses'.He proudly admits to having never shouted "We are the mods!" and hopes that one day a government will make it law that all men have to wear suits at football games, as they did in the 40s, 50s and 60s.Oh, and he's terrible in the kitchen.
