Adam Bradfield - Composer

From the Heart to the Heart

About Me

Formally composing since 1999, I have studied with many teachers, Stephen Coxe, Christopher Theofanidis, Thomas Benjamin, Bruno Amato, Nicholas Maw and Samuel Adler.

But my main source of education has been, not with composition lessons, but in the simple task of listening, conversing, reading and performing.

I have had performances in Seattle, Baltimore, D.C., New York City and Chicago. I have won a few awards such as the International Viola Congress' Composition Competition and have been spoken highly by musicians; from seasoned professionals like Phyllis Bryn-julson and William Sharp, to students and those in their early-career.

With my convictions, beliefs and philosophies on music, art and life, I move unto the next stage, entering the professional music world. With luck, time, my talents and skills hopefully I will make something out of my unique music.
