About Me

Alisa’s music is a blend that could be categorized into several different genres or not categorized at all. Her sound is pure and passionate with her songs coming from her heart. Her passion for her music is undeniable in all her songs. Alisa’s journey, up to this point, has been different than most artists. Unlike many artists, Alisa didn’t grow up in a musical home where someone in particular influenced her or guided her towards a certain genre of music. She was introduced to music like many of us, either through the radio or television. Her love for music developed at an early age and she knew this was the direction she wanted to take. She thought of herself as being a little different because she would often write poems, stories, just to get things “out”. She didn’t really understand why she felt the things she felt so she just kept it all to herself. Most of her poems and writings came with a musical touch. Although life events occupied the majority of her time, she kept trudging on with work and being a mom, putting her music on the back burner. Along the way, there were a lot of lonely nights, moments of defeat, and times where she was just plain scared...so, she wrote. That was always where she could find herself, her strength if you will. Still, she buried it, and didn’t understand all the music she would hear running through her head. It got to the point where she was dreaming songs, hearing the music to things she’d written, having endless nights of insomnia, and driving her NUTS!So, she finally decided to put her big toe into the water of a world that she knew nothing about... The Big (and scary, and sometimes mean) Music Industry! She decided to record, which meant finding the right people on her own. NOT EASY! But she stuck to her guns and insisted on being an independent artist, steering clear of those who tried to tell her what " they thought she should do" or what "they heard" her music sounding like. She finally found Chase Jentz, they have been working getting her first 11 songs together for over two years. In a way, she’s been living a double life. Between working and being a mom and juggling time in the studio. She hasn’t had a chance to really get her my music out until now. There were some really intense personal set backs for her this last year and she almost quit. But when she came back to the studio she knew she had to rewrite. "Everything Must Change" is a complete rewrite born from the experiences of this last year. All of Alisa’s music is based on true events that have touched her personally, her songs are a mixture of her thoughts, her vision, and her passion. Alisa is currently wrapping up recording her first CD. Her current plans are to continue her writing and recording her next CD. Thank You so much to those of you that take the time to listen to her music! And to those that take the time to read this and send messages, etc. It truly means so incredibly much to her!
