Passionate, enthusiastic, entertaining, and fun-loving, describe Eddie V's one-of-a-kind style. Edward Villanueva has music in his blood. He was introduced to music early by his Grandfather singer/songwriter Richard Acuna and Father, drummer James Edward Villanueva.At only 21, Eddie V has seen early success sharing the stage with the likes of Henry Garza of Los Lonely Boys,and opening for acts that include Eli Young Band, David Lee Garza, Little Joe, Blackhawk, Al Hurricane, Bart Crow Band, Stephanie Montiel,Emilio Navaira, Ruben Ramos, Roberto Polido, Rick Acosta,Cory Morrow,Johnny Cooper,Casey Donahew,Wade Bowen, Rich O'Toole and many others.Eddie V started playing the drums at 9 years old when his father introduced him to a drum set and the live music experience. Since then, Eddie V pursued music in every aspect of his life, playing everything from tejano, Texas country, honky tonk, rock, and the blues. He brings a unique energy and style to his music while contributing to a whole and seamless band sound.Eddie V got his start on the professional music circuit at just 15 with Grupo Fuerza, Tommy Ortega Y Grupo Valor, and Thoze Guyz Crunkjunto. He also studied sound and commercial music at South Plains College where he received professional training and gained knowledge of the music business.Most recently, Eddie V toured the Southwest and Midwest with the Lightfoot Band earning early recognition in the Texas Country music scene.Eddie V is currently playing with the Josh Abbott band. While adapting to a new sound and band dynamic, he continues to develop his skill and technique. Eddie V knows he was born to make music his life. When asked what he brings to music fans he said, "I bring all of me every time I play. When I play I'm nowhere else.
