Thomas Mery has been a musician for approximatively ten years.
He has participated, as a singer and guitar player, in the band 'Purr' which has interested many curious ears, mainly in France, Belgium and Spain. They released 2 albums ‘Whales Lead To The Deep Sea’ in 1997 and ‘Open transport’ in 2000 (Prohibited records – http://www.prohibitedrecords.com ). Their first album was a mix of pop/noise/jazzy/atmospheric influences in which emotion was the keyword. Their second album explored new soundscapes and mixed rock, french "chanson", and experimentation.
As the band had difficulties to compose a follow-up to their second album Thomas had already started to mix acoustic guitar and electronic processes. He continued with many improvised shows and a white vinyl (‘I Matter’ – Dora Dorovitch 2003 – http://www.doradorovitch.com ).

Wishing to give his voice the place it deserved and to craft more structured tracks he then went back to composing folk/pop songs without forgetting about his more experimental side. The first step of this reconstruction was called 'HallonSaft' and was released as demo and on the mp3 label ‘sundays in spring’ ( http://www.derives.net/sis/ ).
Besides his personal work as a musician Thomas also creates or collaborates to visual projects like those of Marie Daubert (Flicker) or Benoît Toulemonde. He also participated in the 'étapes' project with visual artist Guillaume Serve.
