About Me

I'm the half-Israeli daughter of a rabbi (mom) and landscaper (dad). Together, this heady combo of Torah and topsoil birthed...an astrologer. My twin sister Tali and I are "The AstroTwins" (myspace.com/theastrotwins). We write horoscopes for about 35 million people a month on Brides.com (starting October 2007), and on HelloKitty.com, and Oxygen.com. When I'm not forecasting the future, I hang with my mini dachshunds Seymour and Lulu, read, wander around NYC (where I live), travel, and sing an occasional karaoke round. I also tour the country lecturing on behalf of my multicultural body image book, Body Outlaws. I'm getting married October 20, 2007 to a fab Dutch-Indonesian Taurus named Jeffrey, and inheriting an awesome 8-year-old stepdaughter, Clementine, in the deal.

My Interests

Writing, astrology, design, karaoke, miniature dachshunds, metaphysics, inspiring conversations, travel.

I'd like to meet:

Astrologers, creative types (as long as you're not using our MySpace "friendship" just to promote your band), conscious people and soul-searchers with a sense of humor, mystics who still have their asses planted on earth,

Television:

Hardly watch anymore, but I really enjoy "Big Love" on HBO. It's one of the only plots that's actually unpredictable. "American Idol" is undeniably addictive. With my 8-year-old stepdaughter I'm forced to overhear Disney Channel's "Hannah Montana" and "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody" and can hum more than a few bars of the theme songs.

Books:

Right now reading "Ask and It Is Given." Always looking for good fiction suggestions or consciousness-expanding reads. Give me the highest and lowest of all printed material, and not much in between
