My name is Mike, and I currently live in Nashville and play guitar/sing/produce/engineer for a band called The Perfect Morning. I am also a producer/mixing engineer/singer/guitarist for hire. Feel free to contact me if you'd like me involved in a project you're working on, to give some feedback on my stuff, or just to talk music.
Here's some more info about the songs in the player right now:
"Where The Streets Have No Name" written by U2
This was one of my favorite projects where my roommate at the time and I re-did this classic U2 hit... techno style. Yeah, I was listening to a fair bit of the stuff at the time, so I was on kind of a kick. But it was a lot of fun and turned out great, so there's nothing stopping me from doing another project like this again in the future... as soon as it presents itself.
Basically for this one, we sampled some drum sounds in the studio, then dropped those into a programmed track (so some of the drum sounds are real samples and others are electronic samples), added several layers of cool techno stuff, then layered guitars and vox. Mix down and... Voila! Instant new classic. Special thanks to the following folks:
Mike Fraedrich: Production, Engineering, Mixing, Acoustic Guitar
Paul Shearer: Programming, Electric Guitars
Wes Pickering: Vox
John Crouch: Engineering
Studio: Belmont Studio A and my home studio
"Clocks Remix" written by Coldplay
Another fun project and Wes collaberation. Again, lots of fun and very cool end result. Wes and I spent waaaaaay too many hours tweaking the mix, but it was time well spent. Our favorite parts are the gated snare that we put together ourselves without just using a "gated snare" plugin, and also the way cool reverse effect in the bridge. If you don't think that's cool then you're not cool. OK, I'm just kidding. Mostly.
Here's the credits:

Enjoy!
