About Me

For starters, I'd like to say that I am a Christian. I know that immediately makes a lot of people roll their eyes but I think that before you make a generalization about me based on some people's poor decision making, maybe you should just talk to me for yourself and find out what I believe and why. I would do my best to extend you the same courtesy to you.You may be interested in knowing that I am interested in a wide variety of activities. I love to listen to and create music on, but not necessarily limited to, electric and acoustic guitars, the electric bass guitar, the piano, and the drums. I'd like to learn to play the cello as well. I love to play and watch soccer, especially my favorite team DC UNITED, the pride and joy of Major League Soccer. I also enjoy reading amount American and European history, especially war and its effects on civilization. I also enjoy photography but I don't know anything about it.A large part of who I am stems from the fact that I come from a very diverse family. I live with my step-mom (who I call Mom), my dad, my adopted little brother, and my half sister (who I call my sister). My mom is white and my little brother is mixed. I was born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. I have lived in the United States (Virginia and Massachusetts), Madagascar, Ghana, and Rwanda. I have traveled to many other countries. Home to me is where my parents are, it's really as simple as that. I have a lot in common with Americans but at the same time I have a lot not in common with Americans. I have a lot in common with Africans (some things more noticable and yet still trivial than others) but I am hardly the stereotypical African.This is a small window into who I am. Care to learn more? My Interests

Music - Playing it, listening to it, creating it using various tools of the trade. Most notably the guitar (acoustic or electric), the bass guitar, the drums, and the piano. Love to skateboard, snowboard, listen to music, read enlightening books, watch good movies, buy shoes, playing soccer or basketball, watching soccer or basketball, learning about other cultures, traveling, reading about all sorts of history.
