The Relax group is well known and much liked in Hungary for performing easily receptible, yet intelligent fusion jazz of high standard. According to the artists’ intentions, the music of Relax gives much more than merely entertainment. It somehow opens up the mind and soul of the listener and „lifts up to a higher plane of existanceâ€.
The band’s history is divided into two periods by a ten year-long gap. The first era (1988-95) is marked by dignified prizes won in nationwide talent competitions, highly successful concerts both in Hungary and abroad, TV and radio appearances and CD recordings.
After a long break, in 2005 Pál Vincze and Zoltán Németh, two leading characters of the original band revivified Relax, and by 2007 it has grown into a sextet. The new formation presented its first album „This Side Up!†in december 2007, published by Fonó Music Hall.
