Well... Like most of the bands, PUBKRAWL came up as a group of 5 friends (all from Lisbon and suburbs) willing to make music and from music their way of life. The band got together in February of 2001 with the following formation: Ricardo (Zó)- guitar Jorge (Moca)- vocals Carlos (Opápistú)- drums Andr? (Chá)- bass Nuno (Fró)- guitar Since the beginning PUBKRAWL defined themselves as a band of original songs within a music genre commonly known as NU-METAL. The band (still with the original formation) put out their 1st demo in 2002, with the name of "G-76" (as an allusion to the number of the garage they rehearsed in). In 2003 takes place the one and only change in the bands formation. The departure of the vocalist was a harsh blow for the rest, cause in 1st place was the friendship that united the members of the band. But things like this do happen and as they say "God works in the most mysterious of ways". On February of 2003 joins the band, the now vocalist Romeu. Romeu's entrance brought another dynamic and vocal amplitude to the band. The band starts now to perform live more regularly and right from the begining the general opinions were very good, about the sound of the band and about their live performance. In 2004 PUBKRAWL put out their 2nd demo. Having 4 songs the demo was produced by the bands own members, with the cooperation of a cool 'old timer', Mr. S? (hugs and kisses for you S?). "Something wicked rules this World" is the name of one of the songs and it was also the name chosen to give title to the demo itself. Still in 2004 occurs the 1st, let us say... more media exposed experience, with the bands participation on the program "Lote9" from RTP2 (national TV channel). Already in 2005 PUBKRAWL are invited to play with "The Temple" and "Desire" bands with some made credits in the national scene. The band continued in the meantime (like it had proposed itself from the beginning) to create. They're now 11 original songs in the bands repertoire, all of them already played live. PUBKRAWL have as a short-term objective (if a better opportunity and/or better conditions don't show up in the meantime) the recording, by themselves, of their 3rd demo, with 10 songs. PUBKRAWL are hopeful that this demo might be their 'key' to open future doors.
