About Me

Just returned from Bremen, Germany and trying to readapt to being American. Eating Taco Bell and watching endless reruns of Law and Order: SVU are critical to this process.

I find these about me boxes incredibly awkward. Check my interests and what not, because they say a lot more about me than any witty quip I can come up with. That's right, I am encouraging you to judge me based on what I like rather than who I am.

I really like cereal. Like, I REALLY like it.

My Top 12 reflects those who I stalk the most. So really, it should be an honor, to know that when I'm bored, your profile is the one I'm awkwardly perusing for new information. It helps if you're wearing a dapper suit.

My Interests

Going to coffeehouses, late night diner visits, concerts, taking pictures of inanimate objects that please me, photography, acting, driving late at night with a good mix, being a radio DJ, improvising, cuddles, dropping it like its hot, getting rained on, discussing literature, flirting with waiters and europeans, napping, the hilarious outcomes of phrases lost in translation...

I'd like to meet:

Someone who can observe my glee for Cereality and not consider it absurd. The man who can make "Between The Bars" by Elliott Smith and "I'd Rather Dance With You" by Kings of Convenience a simultaneous reality. A literary 6'4"+, broad-shouldered chiropractor/carpenter with an affinity for mockumentaries and cooking. People with excellent stories about adventures and misadventures along the way to wherever.

I'd pretty much have John Cusack's babies.

Background Image Copyright Todd Hido, who is mad cool.

Television:

I own Arrested Development, Freaks and Geeks, and The Adventure of Pete and Pete on DVD. I am a slave to the likes of Project Runway and Law and Order: SVU. I miss the now defunct Brendan Leonard Show. I watch Adult Swim (especially Home Movies) and Noggin (especially Degrassi: The Next Generation). I secretly love Sex and the City.

I like american TV dubbed into German, and I'm a whore for youtube.

Bluesman by Andre Dubus III, The Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenides, White Oleander by Janet Fitch, Notes from Underground by Fyodor Dostoevsky, The Perks Of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky, Thumbsucker by Walter Kirn, Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut, The Catcher In The Rye by JD Salinger, Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe, The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon, The Unbearable Lightness Of Being by Milan Kundera, The Time Traveller's Wife by Audrey Niffeneggar.

I'm currently on a "I'm-going-to-read-constantly" mission so expect this to change as I love new things.
