Mister Baby

About Me

Six years after our last show ever, MISTER BABY returns to rock one last time at KNICKERBOCKERS on MAY 2, 2008, to celebrate the club's 15th anniversary.

Mister Baby rocked Lincoln in their own special way from January, 2001 to Summer, 2002, when bass player Jen left town.

WHERE ARE THEY NOW?
JEN is student teaching middle school science and will graduate in May.

JULEE got married to a famous writer and can't stop blogging about cutting up perfectly good sweaters and turning them into beer coozies.

COURTNEY went back to art school and will graduate next may with her BFA.

KRISTEN went back to school and will student teach elementary school in the spring of 2009, graduating next May...

Sounds Like: "The all-girl trash rock sensation that tears up the stage wherever it plays..."
--The Reader, March 2002

"Garage rockers in miniskirts, Mister Baby is always entertaining, and hit its musical stride in the last couple of shows I saw...Rough, raw and fun, Mister Baby knows that rock ’n’ roll is supposed to be entertaining..."
--Lincoln Journal Star, July 2002

"The midwestern-based band, formed earlier this year, clearly believes in the evil of rock ’n’ roll...voodoo sex torture, plodding rhythm, fuzzed-out bass, sexy feedback..."
--The Reader, May, 2001

"I don’t think that it is possible to not have fun at a Mister Baby show as this band wears their influences on their guitars, drums, and bass. These influences are everything from The Ramones to the Runaways-and if you can’t have fun listening to music in that style you may have some issues."
--The Reader, August, 2001

"The band has only existed since January, only played five shows, but have already created a name for themselves through their fun songs, sex-tease antics, retro flyers, and homemade t-shirts. They’ve managed to have national touring acts open for them (and hornswaggled The W.T. out of the headlining slot for a show they set up), have captured the hearts and loins of many male musicians & fans, and have drawn crowds other bands would kill for. That’s some witchy stuff."
